Centennial Program
The Avalon’s special 100 Years of Cinema Magic Centennial film program will be held from February through November. Each month we will present a special film from a different decade the Avalon has been operating, in no particular order! Set titles will appear below. All screenings are on the third Sunday of the month at 10:30AM in large Avalon 1 auditorium (except the Avalon Gala).

May 6th (1920s): The Avalon Gala. SHERLOCK JR. with live accompaniment by the Andrew Earle Simpson Ensemble
June 18 (1980s): MOONSTRUCK w/ moderator Ann Hornaday and guest Jennifer Fleeger
July 16: (1970s): THE STING w/ moderator Ann Hornaday and guest Paul Wright
August 20 (2000s): THE WILD PARROTS OF TELEGRAPH HILL w/ moderator Ann Hornaday and guests director Judy Irving and subject Mark Bittner
September 17 (1930s): DUCK SOUP w/ moderator Andy Mencher and guest Noah Diamond
October 15 (1950s): ROMAN HOLIDAY w/ moderator Ann Hornaday and guest Catherine Wyler
